Compassionate Systems Leadership
About
The BC Compassionate Systems Leadership(CSL) Network was created to grow CSL capacity in child and youth-serving systems throughout the province.
A network of trainers have focused on building a consistent approach to CSL training and facilitation through BC-specific content development and standardization. Initial funding for the Network was received from the BC Ministry of Education and Child Care in 2021 to specifically support BC’s school districts and independent schools to build capacity. Training sessions and coaching are offered by a team of trained facilitators.
A Connected Network
Through regular communications and Communities of Practice, a connected network of individuals practicing CSL throughout the province has been developed. The map below shows BC School District’s level of engagement with CSL across the province. Subscribe to our newsletter to begin connecting with the network and receive news and updates on CSL, training, workshops and more.

The CSL Team
The BC Compassionate Systems Leadership Network has brought together a team of skilled individuals to lead the work. Between them they have decades of experience in education, child development, community collaboration, coaching, and group facilitation. Team members are matched with participants based on community interest, availability, and geography. Additional trained facilitators may be used to support the work as needed.
