Joanne Schroeder is a settler on the traditional territories of the K’omoks People on Vancouver Island.
She has worked in the field of child development and community research for over 40 years. Her focus has been on building better systems for children and youth and she is passionate about the need to reinvigorate the “humanity” in human serving systems.
Joanne is a Certified Master Practitioner in Compassionate Systems and was the Director of the BC Compassionate Systems Leadership Network, housed at the Human Early Learning Partnership, for the last four years. During that time, she provided Compassionate Systems training to over 50 communities and school districts throughout the province.
